Alas, the final of the JOTH trilogy.

It was 10am when we woke up the next day.We didn't make it for the church service that we told ourselves to go.

Last night's card games and personal time is great. It's been quite some time we had this time together sharing our personal stuff and our spiritual life right now.Guess everybody are tired with things right now.People come people go.People go people cry.People get numb by thing around them. But nevertheless, cling on to God's strength. It's an essential solution to our daily life right now.

For the last day in Malacca,we got to spend all our money left in our wallet now.I realised that I didn't spend much for shopping new clothes and as a result,I had 3-4 pieces of 50 dollars to spend.

That does it,I shall treat them lunch at Jonker Street.

Jonker Street,a place famous for it's delicacy chicken rice ball and also crafted and antique goods. If you have some money to waste(I mean spend...spare...whatever),this is the place to go.

I bought myself a set of aromatherapy kit.I simply love the packaging very much.I wanted to buy myself a mahjong set,but I worried that the box of tiles wouldn't be able to make it through the custom. It cost $80RM for a set of this, but it's better to check out the pricing in Chinatown.

We went to the Famosa restaurant for our chicken rice ball, since the store at the front is flooded by customers and tourists. There another one further down, but we decided to settle it here.

As you can see,the restaurant is filled with an oriental ambiance. There's alot of chinese antique that's on display for the tourists to take some photos.

There's also a mini waterfall that gives a Zen feeling. So this place is a mixture of oriental and Zen.

After 20 minutes of waiting, our food arrived.

Fishball? No lah,it's chicken rice ball, with original favor and yam favor.

The meal is good, but not very fantastic.Yet,I recommend you all to try out their chicken rice ball when you're visiting Malacca.

A mansion that I took when on our way to the main road.

Taking a closer zoom,it's a mansion dedicate for this surname starting with "Xu",which happens to share the same surname as mine.So can I went in for a cup of tea?

When we arrived at the bus terminal for our returned trip, this is when the twist in our journey plan started. As I mentioned in my earlier post, all the coach that travelled back to Johor/Singapore were fully booked. There's no way we can get 4 tickets right now.If we were to take the ride,it would be on the next day.

So we had no choice but to go for our last resort:Taxi. The black market cost us $300RM - $400RM,so it's better to find some place that has better offer. After some time of searching,we finally find a cab that cost us $230RM.

The journey was smooth all the way,I was rather afraid that we might get ourselves into an accident when I saw a heavy downpour. But I thank God for the safe journey.

For dinner,we dropped the idea of going to Taman Garden, due to time constrain.Instead we went to the Vivo(not Vivo city) at City Square.

Clockwise from top left: Baked rice, orion ring and calamari,Turkey meat pizza and oreo cheesecake.

The food was wonderful, except that we were unfortunate to face a situation when their computers went down.

A few conclusion after the Malacca trip:

1. Malacca leads a peaceful slow paced life, far different from Singapore.Actually it's good to live a life in a slow paced manner. When I went back to Singapore,I find myself hard to get back to their fast walking speed and rushing queue for bus.Everything in Singapore is full of competitions.

2. We should buy the tickets after we arrived at Malacca.Because it's a Sunday when we went home, there's sure to have people queuing up to buy tickets back to Johor/Singapore.So it's best that we buy return tickets immediately after we reached our tour destination.

I'm happy that we managed to go for this Malacca trip. You know it's very hard to plan for this overseas trip with 4 people agreed to go together. There's always times where one cannot make it on this day and the other on the other day.Well there's a sentences that goes:

年轻的时候,我们有精力,有时间,却没金钱。
到了成年,我们有精力,有金钱,却没时间。
到了老年,我们有时间,有金钱,却没精力。

That life,don't you think?
