How do I describe my work today? It's a totally busy day!

Since the new computer system is launching today, the customers can't wait to flood us with 4-5 days of workload that we had to do.Everybody is running all around, helping out with the customers to adapt to the new system that we've just launched.

Well, all the hardwork that we've done is rewarded with a free treat of MacDonalds or KFC.Looks like I'm getting back to the sloppy, flabby me after all these office life. All my effort of running on the track yesterday is destroyed by the junk food.

And speaking of yesterday,I'm now well trained in eating with only 1 chopstick! When I ordered my fried fish bee hoon to take-away,I didn't realise that the chopsticks that the uncle gave me is...well,chopstick.

I had to gather all the means and ways and technics to eat that soupy lunch.I was eating like a pathetic being but managed to finish everything in the end.

So next time I can ask any of the food store uncle to just give me 1 chopstick.I am so skill-ded!

Just came back from my trip to the AA2006 (Asian Aerospace 2006).The $21 ticket sure is worth the money with lots of planes and a good suntan.

I had to rush for the exhibition because of my work which ends at 12.30pm.I had to give the airplane show a miss. What a waste.

Anyway,I'm not alone for the exhibition.I had Glenn with me.He told me to wait at the Apache when I get there.

On my way to the AA2006 through the shuttle bus,I ask myself:Will the security there be very tight? What if the terrorist board the bus with us and we don't know?Well, when the bus stopped at one checkpoint,it answers my questions.

They were like scanning up and down the bus looking for any suspicious items and people. Then we proceed, looking at the policemen with submachine guns which I think is an MP-5.

Just imagine when they saw someone with a suspicious item:

Policeman:What is that sharp thing you holding in your hand?A knife?

Guy:No.This is my nail file.

Policeman:And what is this in your pouch?A pair of scissors? What you gonna do with this?

Guy:Oh,that's for me to trim my nose hair.

Policeman: .....

Ok back to the trip to AA2006.

Check out the people queuing up to take the taxi home. It's a long stretch of queue.

Image hosting by Photobucket
That was the Apache Glenn mentioned.I waited for him here.

Image hosting by Photobucket
Yeah! Finally had a chance to take picture with the Apache.

Image hosting by Photobucket
How can the picture of an Apache be nice without a officer pilot?

Image hosting by Photobucket
Apache's backside.

Image hosting by Photobucket
That's F-35,a plane currently on a project by all over the country like UK,USA,Canada,Switzerland etc.

Glenn told me that this plane take off vertically instead of diagonally. That's something special.

Image hosting by Photobucket
This is Gripen.Alot of people queuing up to try sitting on this plane.

Image hosting by Photobucket
Looks like a training helicopter.

Image hosting by Photobucket
F-16!Glenn's favorite.

Image hosting by Photobucket
The front of F-16.

Image hosting by Photobucket
I shall not miss the chance of taking with the F-16.

Image hosting by Photobucket
F-15.I like the colour.

Image hosting by Photobucket
F-15 side view.

Image hosting by Photobucket
F-18.That photographer blocking the plane!Grrrr....

Image hosting by Photobucket
So that was the Airbus you're talking about? It's damn huge!

Image hosting by Photobucket
Cannot go in already.

Image hosting by Photobucket
A sign outside the Airbus.I think it means no toilet.Or it means do not go near?

Image hosting by Photobucket
C-130.The one I took during my Indonesia exercise is green in colour. That C-130 is from US and it's gray in colour.

Image hosting by Photobucket
B1B Lancer. This plane can go mach speed and able to do carpet bombing.Cool!

Image hosting by Photobucket
Another angle view of B1B Lancer.

Image hosting by Photobucket
KC-135R.

Image hosting by Photobucket
The pilots there are selling shirts, badges and some other souvenir.

There're also planes from other country.

Image hosting by Photobucket
Another foreign plane....

Image hosting by Photobucket
With table and chairs.Makes the garang plane so anti-climax.

Image hosting by Photobucket
There's also monks going for the Aerospace too!

After looking at all the outdoor stuff,we shall go indoor.

Image hosting by Photobucket
So many airplane models.

Image hosting by Photobucket
Plane.

Image hosting by Photobucket
Planes.

Image hosting by Photobucket
And more planes!Apache model too.

Image hosting by Photobucket
F-16 engine.It looks like....errr....something?

Image hosting by Photobucket
And who say Aerospace is all planes and nothing else?We got racing car too.

Image hosting by Photobucket
And artillery.

They're also display of Mog 4,SAF armor vehicles, new version of SAR21 and not to forget pretty counter girls.

I managed to finish only half of the exhibition when they call it a day.Well,I'm happy that can take alot of photos.

The next Aerospace will be at Hong Kong in 2007.Singapore will have another one on 2008,but it will be called Singapore Aerospace instead of Asian Aerospace.

If you're a hardcore fan of airplane, maybe you can book a ticket to Hong Kong next year.

February 22, 2006

This happens to me last week. You know that you are so obsessed in your work when:

One day,you went out to had your lunch. After lunch, you decided to go to the supermarket that is quite near to your workplace.

You bought yourself a packet of elderflower favored Ricola sweet. You popped one into your mouth.

Back at work you ate another one while busy typing some documents. You didn't realised something about that sweet.

A few days later, you felt something wierd. The sweet tasted sour somehow. You suspected that you had bought yourself an over-expired sweet. You took the packet of Ricola out again and you found out that.....

The sweet is blackcurrant favored, not elderflower.

Today should be my official ORD,however thanks to the government helping to reduce that 2 months,I managed to ORD in December.

Many of them asked me with a kind of suspicious look in their face:What did the army teaches me?Because in church I'm always been very crazy with my friends and thus suspect that army teach me to be a crazy person.

No.

For this post,I shall compile some of what army teaches me.For Kelvin,Joshua and Eugene, maybe this can be a guideline for you all, especially for Kelvin who is going to army in around 20 days time.

1.Army brings out the more of you

In army, vulgarities is unavoidable. In every sentence or 2,you may have 2-3 sets of vulgarities comes out of your mouth.

Vulgarities is somehow a short-cut language in army actually. For example:

When someone is blocking your way, instead of saying,"I'm sorry will you please excuse me by moving aside while I need to get to the other side."

You'll be saying,"F*** Off!".Short and sweet.

2.Army Lingos and Jargon

Army teaches us new languages that we've never heard before. You'll learn something like 5BX(5 basic exercises) and magical rounds.

From this conversation, see if you can identify some of the lingos and jargon.

Alfa, bravo, charlie are waiting for Delta outside Orchard MRT.

Delta:Sorry I'm late.

Alfa:What the heck? You know what time is it already?

Delta:Paiseh,I reveille at 1030.Then I found out that my clock is spoiled.

Bravo:Wah lao, your handphone cannot use meh?

Delta:Aiyah,don't talk this lah.Where's Echo?MIA issit?

Charlie:He got a sprained ankle,so he had to attend C at home.

Delta:Huh?Wah lao he cannot make it lah.So easily pikachu?!

Charlie:Aiyah,he yesterday dunno play soccer with his friend then turn like that loh.

Bravo:Ok let's make a move.Where shall we settle?

Alfa:Guys shall we go to this XXX restaurant?

Charlie:Ok swee! want to eat the food there.Where shall we go?

Delta:I know I know.1st we skirt around this area then bash through this area.

Bravo:Eh you sure anot? You know how to topo anot?Wait you holand how?

Delta:Trust me lah.

Alfa:Eh,guys.2 o'clock,100,girl beside pillar chio leh!

Bravo:Wah lao where got chio.

Charlie:Yah loh.Let me see this kind of shit.

Delta:I rather see that girl next to her.She makes my rifle rusok senja tah leh.hehe.

Alfa:Wah seh.You want to stand by bed with her issit?

Bravo:Eh guys.Come we don't waste time.Let's go!

But people who didn't serve the army catch no ball when someone in army talk to him/her like that. It's like an alien talking to me in alien language.

3.Army trains you to be tougher

Before you enlist in army, you are slack like a piece of sofe dough. You did zero for your pull-ups,run worse than an aunties and stamina that can't even last you a 1 hour of soccer and basketball.

When you enlist in army, things changed. You can do 10 pull-ups within 1 month, run 3km and you find that this is just a warm-up and better still, you can even play a 2 hours of soccer and basketball together,no sweat.

Best of all, army is better than those slim-fit beauty centre or tummy trim and extreme X.With less than a month, you will lose 5kg without using any money.Success guaranteed.

4.Army makes you a man

And yes, everybody agrees. Before army, you are so slack at home and a couch potato TV addict that gives your mother nothing but headache.

But once in army, you became much more understanding. You started to do house chores like sweeping the floor and clean the toilet.

And by the way,the term of being a man means becoming more understanding and more obedient.

5.Army makes you a spending person

Even though you earn quite less in your recruit time, you still spend your money like there's no tomorrow.Simply because time is so precious to you and you really want to spend your money in a civilian way until your next book-in in 2 days time.

In fact, there are so many ways army can change you.For those going to army,it's advisable that you don't take my points too seriously.Just go in and taste it yourself.

6 Years

Is the year I have been in Crystal Tabernacle Church.

Have seen so many changes in my life, good and bad. Some of them growth in their faith, some of them come and go,some of them losing contact even when they're in church.

I still thank God that He had bless the youth alot.Even though there maybe quite a handful of them, but they're going out strong.Junwei is right, our youth IS obedient.

Maybe things we lack of is the fellowship with the new comers.Perhaps we can still fine tune to it.

And I still can't believe I'm still a youth.I seems to be an old bird already.By right I should have gone TUF or to the HGC.

There will be many changes coming up for us.God,I'm ready.

February 15, 2006

The ticket to watch Kings of Convenience in Esplanade has sold out. That is so sad.I was supposed to use my red packet money to buy the ticket for the performance, however when I check the Sistic website, all the seats were already taken.

I wanted to watch their performance, and I thought not many people may know this band.I was so wrong.

Yah,I still believe not many people knew about this band.We only know better who is Jay Zhou,Simple Plan and Sun Yan Zi.

Anyway I brought their album:Riot in an Empty Street. That was 1 year ago.Their songs are not bad.I find most of the songs got this "airy" feeling and I like the tune from the guitar.

Anyway,here's their MTV:Misread.

February 13, 2006

Tomorrow is Valentines day.As usual, there's no valentines outing or dinner for me.

Anyway, let me continue on the love topic, which is the sequel.

From the love topic that we have discussed few days ago,I derived some points from my friends.

1.Your ex-girlfriend never forgets your phone number.

I wonder if your ex-girlfriend REALLY keep your phone number. So I was wrong to say that the moment you break with your girlfriend is the moment both of you deletes each others number?

2.If you don't give 100% of your love, you won't enjoy it.However if you give 100% of your love, you'll hurt your heart deeply.

So,enjoyment vs hurting heart, which one to choose?

3.Ever how much you hate your ex-girlfriend,you still want to know how she's doing.

Not true actually.80% of my friends don't even care what the hell happen to their ex-girlfriend.

Well,in closing,I wish everybody here to have a wonderful Valentines day.Be it with your "buddy" or what.Just keep in mind that you can still spend your valentines day with God.

February 12, 2006

Few days ago,my friend gave me a love situation.

Imagine one day your ex-girlfriend called you(don't know how on earth she can still keep my number),and she asked you for a dinner.Would you accept?

If you say yes, would you mind her bringing her boyfriend along?

Since she wants my "kind" answer,I just answered yes for the 2 questions.

Frankly speaking,I am not good at answering all those love situation question, because I have never had a girlfriend before.

For all the people who had lovers before, what is your answer?

February 11, 2006

Yesterday I was so tired after a long day of event.I was thinking how come when there's a day that's so free,it's really free. But when comes to going out on a certain day,a series of activities all come together to shag me out.

Below is a dramatic entry with almost all details filled in.

I was supposed to go SAFTI with William to accompany him for his FFI first. Before that,my handphone rang and I was told to go for the interview. She asked me for the e-mail address so that she can send me the details of the place I'm going to.

Don't know because is it I gave her the wrong address or the yahoo mail screwed up(It's normal.Yahoo mail always send some documents in unreal time.Which means, today's document,2 days later received).

Nevermind,I'll deal with that later.Maybe after going out with William and come back,my mail will be there for me.

Coming back at around 12 noon,I immediately checked my mail and still no mail from her.I was panic:Oh man! What am I supposed to do?

I called her office back she was out for lunch. So I listened to my brother's advice:Take the train first, call her later.

Anyway,I finally got the details from her,all written down.

And I thought I was early for my interview.I took the bus to the place, with much confident that I won't be late as my clock told me I'm 20 minutes early.

Suddenly I felt something wierd:How come I don't get to see the building?I asked the driver for direction and I realised I was 3 bus-stop away from the place!I quickly get out of the bus and ran to the place, with my leather shoes.

I thank God that there are people helping me with directions.I managed to find the place.

I went to the second floor to look for that person. However, what I saw in the second floor was only counters for customers and an office that looks like a police headquarter.

Well,I did stir up some commotion in the "police headquarter",because I was asking him about my interview and where this person is.How would I know he knew nothing about this person, and what a stupid move I did.

What I didn't realise is behind the 2 customer counters on level 1,there is a information counter behind it.Soon I know I came in from the side gate, and that is why I didn't see a information counter in the first place. And yes,the information counter saved my day by giving me the person's whereabout.

At last,my interview!

The interview went well smoothly.I potraited my confidence in answering their questions and eventually we went chit chatting with one another. When the female interviewer asked me,"So,are you ready to take this job listening to the customers grumbles and blah blah blah?"

I said yes.But I did tell them I need time to adapt.

(Stupid me!Why I agree?Arrgggg!)

Basically their job I need to do is more than a customers service.I also need to do some paper work here and there. In fact,I don't even know what I'm supposed to do until I really go for my 1st day of work.

They told me that they'll call me when I'm short-listed.

Just when I thought everything is over, thinking that I had to go for my job searching again,I received a good news.

I got the job!Woohoo!!!!

Ironically, when I signed the contract,I was kind of regret what I did.No turning back for me for the next 3 months. Will I be able to handle the difficult situation?I shall wait for next Monday to find out.

Phew!After a long day,I went for Annebelle's birthday.

Only Elvin,Annebelle and I was there. We went to the Thai-express for dinner. The dinner was quick okay, spicy to the core.

Didn't take much picture there, because Annebelle is camera-shy(Don't worry about her checking my blog. She don't have an Internet at home!Muhahaha!).

End of the day.Went back home with body aching all over.

February 08, 2006

Last week,Zhenzong messaged me that he's organising a steamboat BBQ at marina this Friday.I agreed to go because it's been quite a long time since I met them.

Then another message came. This time from Elvin, saying that Annebelle's birthday dinner is on Friday instead of Saturday.

Oh dear,a group outing crash.

I immediately message back Elvin, asking him why not Saturday and try to "psycho" him to change it to saturday. Then he told me that she got work on Saturday,so it's impossible to change it to Saturday.

I have not been seeing the ex-bunkmate for quite a month. However,I've not been seeing Annebelle for the past 3 years! So what can I do?

I have to go for the birthday dinner instead. You may call me a aeroplane flyer if you want.

Or why not I tell her to go Marina South eat steamboat BBQ?Will that be better?

If only you can split yourself to half,so that you can attend both outings together.

For a second thought,no way.

Ever wonder why your keyboard contains the most bacteria?

You see, when you're using the computer typing your important documents or using the Interenet to check your mail, you probably have something beside you.For example, something to munch on,like your potato chips. With a oily fingers after munching chips, you'll have the tendency to not going to the toilet to clean your hands, because you are lazy to do so,especially when you're playing a game.

The second choice you'll make will be using a tissue. However,it doesn't do much of good because of the oil stain that is still on your fingers that needs a soap to be clean off.

Another habit we'll make is digging your nose when typing.OR worse, scratching your you-know-what.Then you use your finger that dig your nose to type the keyboard. You don't even notice it because you are obsessed with the PC!

So in order to keep the keyboard clean,I should one day buy something to kill the bacteria in my keyboard.

Mr A:How much does this digital camera cost?

Sales assistant:Oh,that will be $699 after a 20% discount sir.

February 01, 2006

Chinese New Year celebration ended so fast and everybody has to work today or tomorrow.

I know that there's still another 11 more days until the end of Chinese New Year,so there's still chance for me to visit my friends and relatives.

Okay I shall sum up what happened in day 2 and 3 of Chinese New Year:

Day 2:We went to Pastor Kian Cheng house for visitation. What we did not expect is the crowd of people inside his house when we get there. His house was so full of people that we had to go to his room to eat.

We had Bee Hoon and curry chicken in Pastor Kian Cheng's house. After that we went to Pastor Geoffery's house for visit. And guess what did we eat?

No prize for guessing. It's Bee Hoon and curry chicken. Is that a coincident?Or is it....

Pastor A:What should we make for the visitors?

Pastor B:Well we can make them bee Hoon and curry chicken for them.I know they'll like it.

Pastor A:Hey!Good idea!

That's just what I'm think.Please don't believe what I'm thinking.

Day 3:We supposed to go Yiseng's house to visit. However due to some unforseen circumstances,we had to proceed to Daniel's house for visit.

We played Mahjong there.Damn!James is good. But I won the most, with 1 "Qing Yi She".Big deal.

However we didn't play money there. So it's useless to win this set.But I believe if we really gonna play real money,I'll sure lose money like mad. With Daniel and James around, how can I win?

Will post some of the photos taken tomorrow.Stay tune!
