1.Australia lost by a controversal panalty from Italy with their superb acting skill.Well,to me,Italy won with a shame.

2.I got my NDP preview tickets for 4 to watch the whole thing in July.I was assigned to be in the blue sector.I wonder who shall I watch it with?

3.Watching a World Cup upset is better than watching a good country play.Hah.

4.Wife to Husband:

What's so fasinating about soccer? What's so special about World Cup?It's just 22 people chasing after a ball!

Husband to Wife:

What's so fasinating about shopping? What's so special about Great Singapore Sales? It's just 100 over women chasing after a clothes!

5.Wife to Husband:

I cared so much for you.I clean the house,I cook for you everyday and all you concern is soccer! In your heart where do I stand?Did you really care for me?

Husband to Wife:

I provide snacka for you and your friends during your mahjong session. You complain about me in front of your friend and yet I didn't utter a word.I provide a ATM for you to go shopping.Who say I didn't care for you?

There was some street busking festival going on in Orchard Road. The purpose of the event is mainly for charity for the Children's Cancer Foundation. Not to mention some may want to persue their dreams to become a well-known band in Singapore.

I was impressed by all the teenagers' rock band and acoustic performance along Orchard Road.Yes,from Orchard Road to Sommerset you'll expect 3-4 groups of performer playing songs for the charity.

I simply like the acoustic performance by the duos.Their singing are superb.William even requested them to sing a song "cannonball" by Damien Rice.

Some of them even volunteered to sing in front of the crowd of people.I must say they are really bold enough to do it.To sing for the crowd what you also need is a nice set of voice,if not, you'll be drowning them with your "Zao Sia" music.

The busking will still continue on 25th,30th of June and 1st and 2nd of July.Be sure to check them out.Maybe I go there again next Friday.

The youth camp involves lesser movement than last year.We don't get to go around the whole of Singapore doing some sort of treasure hunt.We had a rather simple camp instead.

I've learn something out from the youth camp. The things about me and the things I need to improve from the comments from the youth.Anyway I thank them for being so frank about me.

Taking care of Ernest requires alot of patient I should say.He love asking questions and repeat over and over again. He also loves eating sweet stuff and potato chips, like 75% of the snack is all in his stomach. But he rather fun-loving,if you have the patient and effort to teach him,he'll learn.

Starting from September, the 10.30am Sunday service will move to 7.30pm on Saturday. It will be a youth service as what Pastor Geoffery stated. What kind of youth service do we want on Saturday.Do we want to make it as different as what it's like in 8am and 10.30am chinese service? We got to work it out.

This youth camp may be my last one with the youths.Looking at all around me,mostly all the TIPS members are no longer there. They are all in either TUF or in their HGC.It's time for me to take another one step forward to the HGC and TUF.Hopefully I'll end up in TUF and went into a course which I like.

Nevertheless,I shall proceed with the photo section:

A pot of potato salad. We thank Sarah and Jazlyn once again for the dishes.

This year the salad was rather salty.Think put too much salt and pepper. However the food was filled with love from them,so no matter how salty or how peppery it turns out to be,I really appreciate their effort made.Sound mushy eh?

June 20, 2006

Finally I ended my 4 months and 1 weeks of my "career" in my job.So right now I'm a jobless guy.

There's so many things I'm yet to settle, which is somehow my regrets. However I hope my replacement can help me with the remainings.

I still need to tell her other things that is yet to settle, but I forgot what it is.All my unsettled business is still swimming in my mind non-stop!

It may take me 1 week to forget everything,I supposed.

Today I'll be going for the youth camp as a "youth alumni member".Pray that everything will go smooth and the BBQ food is edible and no raining during the BBQ and activity session.

As I mention on the previous post,I injured my leg when I fell down from the stairs. This becomes a "controversal topic" by my family member. My brother was laughing at my carelessness when walking down the stair.

With my sprained ankle,I went to see the acupuncture. It cost me $30 to have him massage my leg with some medical oil and a heated herbal medication bag.Song boh!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
That's my leg which is dressed up by the chinese doctor. He told me to walk less, since my leg encounters torn ligament.

And just when I thought my sprained ankle will recover soon,I was struck by fever,flu-bug and cough.

It was indeed a torturous night when I had to wake up every 1-2 hours drinking water and going toilet. In the end,I got headache when I woke up at 6am.

I had to give Simon's wedding a miss.I wanted to take photos of the married couple and because of all the virus,I had to give up.

I went to my clinical doctor(in which he knows me best)to get medicines for my illnesses. It cost me $27 for the whole thing.

In total I spent $57 for both my leg and my fever/flu/cough.

Why is the virus came at the wrong time when I least expect to come?

Seems like I'm still need some time to recover from my sickness.Tomorrow will be my last day of work. Will be jobless once more.

June 16, 2006

Matches so far:

Australia won 3-1 to Japan!Though this may be quite a few days ago news, but I kinda support Australia, because they were so called the underdogs team.Hope they can make it far.Japan?I support Utada Hikaru only.Hah.

Germany and Ecuador secured a place in the qualifying finals. What surprised me is Ecuador, who won both Poland and Costa Rica without getting any goals from the opponents. That makes them to the top spot of the table. But for the next match with Germany,I doubt they can win,but at least a draw.

England and Sweden make it to the qualifying finals too.England was playing quite bad in the first half and just when I thought they might draw, they managed to kick in 2 late goals and win.But they way I see them play it hard to imagine they can make it to the finals.

Maybe teams like Spain may make it to the finals, but first they may probably need to face Brazil.Let's see how after all the teams finished their third match.

I sprained my ankle last Wednesday,or 2 days ago.I fell down from a flight of stair and thank God I didn't fall front. Now my ankle is swollen and I need to see an acupuncture.

Just another few more days before I left my workplace. My female colleague decided to treat me for lunch. That was so sweet of her.And she's a lao chio somemore,in which I proclaim.

After having a wonderful meal of chicken rice,I chit chat with her, together with my other colleague who is taking over me.I found out from her that she got 2 children who is slightly younger than me,so that's why she treat me like her own son.No wonder I feel the motherly like from her every time we chit chat.

Something is so wrong!Wei Liang wake up!

I will definately miss this place,my colleague, not my work.I hope to see each one of you all one day.

June 11, 2006

The matches so far: Rather surprise that Germany won Costa Rica not 2-0,not 2-1,but a whopping 4-2!Yah,I did warn the people never to bet the first match.See what happen?

Another surprise is Ecuador won Poland 2-0.And we thought the former team is cannot make it country, since we watch them first play the World Cup 4 years ago.

Third surprise will be T&T (Trinidad and Tobago,to make it short)initiate a draw against Sweden.Though they may be down with 10 men playing, they managed to "win" a 0-0 draw, despite Sweden being quite a strong team.Well, never underestimate a first entry team.

The only disappointment will be England.I always wanted England to win the World Cup,but what have they done?!A 1-0 win on Paraguay and that goal is not from them?!Hope they can still perform their best for the next 2 games.

Yesterday I went shopping with Edmond and Jiemin. We came upon a Sony Gallery shop and I went in to check out the price of the PSP and their latest mp3 player. There was this sales assistant who is busy attending a couple promoting the digital camera. Then after that he looked up and walk to the other side,in the meantime asking us "Yes,can I help you?"

Basically he's not doing his job well.He ask us a question yet walked away to take something.IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE SOMETHING DON't BOTHER ASKING US WHAT WE WANT!

When he returns,I asked him the price of the 2GB mp3 player. He replied us as if we're like some pest trying to look for cheap stuff.

"You all cannot see here ah?The price is on the display here,it's $XXX."

*Vulgarities, curse and swear, cry father cry mother, international sign language that is about to come out from me* Good thing I controlled myself.

This is what I call the sales assistant double standard.

And what is this? This is what we call good customer service? My foot!

And yes,one more thing,I expect Express 502 to have a express waiting time.I really hate the waiting time for 502.It's a freaking 25 minutes!Worse still, when the bus arrived,it was crowded with passengers. If SBS knows that alot people are waiting for "express" 502 so much, they should have employ more buses and shorten the waiting time to 15 minutes.

After shopping we went to the famous "茶餐厅" for our dinner. The food there is rather simple, with mostly "home cooked" food like maggi mee with luncheon meat/ba ding/pork floss and egg.Somemore it's expensive with $6.90(exclusive of service charge GST)for a simple mee sua with luncheon meats and egg.

However, the ambience there is cosy. One day I shall try the mango desserts.

Another 8 mores days till my last day of work.Endure!

June 09, 2006

I sensed a 1-1 draw for the match between Germany and Costa Rica.So...

It's recommended that those who bet for soccer matches should never bet the first match. You'll regret it.

I just hope England will win the World cup this year. However,I had a feeling that Brazil might win the World cup again.

June 07, 2006

Yesterday one of the Primary school called me to do relief teaching for Chinese. She said that it will be last one whole semester. Now I'm still deciding whether to take the job or not, since I'm going to quit my job in another 13 more days.

Anyway, she'll be calling me on Friday,so I have another 2 more days to think about it.

I finally watched X-Men with Glenn and Raymond.Elvin had watched the show already, just wonder why didn't he join us?

After watching the show,I had some doubt whether this movie will comes out part 4.I was thinking:

(The few points below may spoil your urge to watch X-Men.Anyway,this movie had been there for 3 weeks and I believe most of them had already watch the show.)

1. Did Magneto really lost his power?

In the show,Beast had stab Magneto with a "mutant cure" that causes him to lose all his magnet power.

And we thought this is the end of Magneto's power, until the last scene whereby he was sitting on a chair trying to move the metal chess piece. Then there was a tiny slight movement on the piece.

Magneto gain his power? Is the "Mutant cure" not working?

Maybe that cure is just a temporary effect.Eventually he will recover his power,so were Mystique and Rogue.

Mystique's role is to little! And why isn't Rogue using her power throughout her show. Both are so extra in the show.Booooo!!!!!

2. Professor X is alive?

At the very end of the show, there was this scene where a man (didn't show his face) was calling the nurse's name. Then the nurse was shocked and replied "Charles?".

Is the man professor X?Didn't he died?

Well,if the man is Professor X,then the nurse should have know it earlier.Don't tell me she didn't even look at the man's face once until the man called her name?

The man may have the power from Professor X,who had transfer his mind to another person. His body may have been disintegrated, but his soul is still there.

3. What is the story of the little boy?

This little boy has the ability to neutralise all mutant power. Why is the Magneto gang trying to kill him?Is it because the boy is the cure for all mutant?

I believe there's some more story going on about this special child.

4. Is Cyclops and Jean Grey died?

Did Cyclops turn into dust?Is Jean Gray really died? Are they the main characters of the story?

5. The job scope of the rest of the mutants

Colossus,Archangel,Shadowcat and Juggernaut becomes the very extras of the show.Especially the Archangel,as we thought this guy will be one of the big cast.In the end,he's only main play is saving his father from felling off the building!Duh!

Come on,give them more roles to play,I hope this is not the last stand.

After the show and the dinner, when I'm going to take Glenn's motorbike home,we saw 2 outstanding vehicle.

Nissan Fairlady

Honda Integra

Okay lah.Nothing impressive, but at least I post some pictures here.

Today I'm rather blessed to take one of my customers' vehicle home. That saves my $2 worth of bus trip and 1.5 hours of time.

He's a very talkative person, with alot of interesting story to share. He was stating the fact that Singapore's traffic rules is way too strict.

For example, the ERP.He shared with me that once the vehicle enter the ERP without inserting the cashcard, immediately the system will charge you $10 more if you try to pay the fee back.Wherelse in Australia,When you enter the ERP with the same situation, the system will give them 1 week of grace to settle the payment until they charge you $10 more.

Another things will the illegal parking. If you did an illegal parking at the roadside, straightaway the man/woman in white gives you a summon. However in Australia (AGAIN!) will mark the vehicle's tire with a chalk, giving them another 10 minutes of grace to drive the car away.

One last thing will be the parking coupon. If the coupon happens to time out, you'll have to pay 10 times more than the coast of the coupon!

To the drivers/riders out there, can anyone verify?

This is the first time I took a stranger's car home.Eh...not really stranger,it's more of a client.

Dealing with the customers is not just merely treating them like a customers. It's more of making friends with them, especially the regular customers. And this is the only thing I like about the customer service of this job.

June 05, 2006

My colleague was complaining about her daughter who has been cheating on her that she's going for the school camp. When the mother called her school,it claims that they didn't organised any camp activity.

She was very angry. She was like telling the whole world what the hell happens and how she's going to scold and punish her girl.

Her other colleague was trying to calm her down and advised her not to punish her,but she don't care.

She seems to be too over-defensive on her daughter. She was also worried she'll get rape by the boys. However, she's only 14 years old. Will that thing ever happen?

She should have cool down herself and just ask her why is she lying to her and NOT give her any physical abuse/punishment.

But ever wonder why is the son/daughter lying to their parents? Is it because their parent is strict? Is it because they don't give them freedom that they want to?

However, spoiling your child is also one bad thing too. So,you have to be able to balance strictness and welfare together.

Anyway, there will be part 2 of the story.Let's hope things will turn out good,as in daughter confess herself and mother forgives.A happy ending?

June 03, 2006

I didn't go to work yesterday, woke up in the morning with minor sickness.Usually I'll still proceed to work even with this condition, but I choose not to.

I called my colleague and told her that I'm sick, she replied to me that I'm not physically sick, but mentally sick.

She's right.I'm mentally ill.

When I woke up,I tell myself: Wei Liang, are you going to work today with your conditions of yours? You know you won't be able to concentrate on talking to the customers.

And yes,I'm still suffered from the depression yesterday from the personal job issue.I just can't get that out of my head.

So I decided to rest for a day and free my mind.

I can get depression easily,if something bad gets into my way,or if somebody wrong me totally.

People,if you're going to rebuke me,please do it at the end of the day.If not I won't be able to concentrate further.

When I'm depress,I'll just fake a smile,or at least a smile.I don't care whatever people comment about me,I treat it as bullshit.

I managed to supress my depression finally, but make sure you don't remind me of the incident again.

June 01, 2006

There's a newcomer who is soon taking over my place. She's going for her understudy of things I need to do.

This is a good sign. Now I can quit my job in another 20 more days without a problem.

I'm feeling rather depressed today.Don't feel like typing a very long blog. All I could say is some personnal job issue.

Don't feel like working tomorrow.
