After a "short" visit to the ship exhibition,we finally get to book-in our room and throw all our luggages there. It's kinda tiring to have all those heavy load carried on your shoulder you know.
This is the layout of our room. It's quite a decent looking place with all the necessary equipment available. It may look quite small but what the heck. We're just staying here a night, not 10 nights. If you ask me to ask here for 10 nights,I'll kll myself.I rather book a 4 star hotel room.
The TV has some of the channels we need, especially the star movie.Anyway,we won't to use all the equipment around us.We have not much time to spare.
After a few hours of resting,it's time to move on to our next excursion:Christ Church!
The place is just 10 minutes walk from our hotel, slightly further down from the ship exhibition. So there's no need for you to hire a taxi to go there.Plus,it's much harder to flag a taxi in Malacca, unlike Johor.
The Christ Church. It's been there since 1753(what the building stated) and there's still church service going on inside!Sorry,no photographs were allowed to be taken inside.
Took a photo outside the red church with Kelvin Lee.
There's alot of trishaw service just outside the church. They are almost like our Singapore trishaw, except that their decoration is more solid than us.
Outside the church,we also have a marketplace displaying all sorts of handicraft items.
The clock don't seems to tell the correct time.
The fountain outside the church. It's so European style.
Can you spot the mouse deer?
Beautiful flowers!
Can you count the number of steps here?
St John's Fort. You need to climb up several flights of stairs in order to get to this place.
Taking a picture with a beautiful scenery.
A statue which was set up in remembrance of him.
Interior of the building. It's kind of empty.
Busker playing some Christmas songs.
Stone Tablet.What does it says?
Looks like some kind of wishing well, where alot of people threw their coins inside.I don't see people making any wishes here.
Another mini fort like structure at the bottom of the hill.
Feeling tired and hungry,we went to Mahkota Parade for a chill.Frankly speaking,I didn't have enough time to finish exploring the whole of their shopping centre. It's really a huge place for shopping and food.
William and Kelvin wearing a horror mask.
We have our drinks at Coffee Bean. The price of their drink is almost the same as ours,so it's best that you order their cake instead.
*munch munch*
For dinner,we had meals at Portuguese Square. It's located rather far away from Mahkota Parade, estimate about 20 minutes of walking distance, that is if you do a fast walk.
When we reach our destination:Portuguese Hotel,I was rather disappointed. The environment in the restaurant just look as if we've stepped into a lup sup bar(No offense). One moment you're afraid that someone behind you may cover you eyes and ask you "猜猜我是谁?"
Arrgg!!!My fantasy went wild.
Seriously, they need to do an extreme makeover in the interior design.
However the food there is relatively cheap and good.If this place is able to attract more customers,it would be much better.I prefer restaurant to be lively.
Since watching a movie in Malaysia cost us $8RM,we decided to catch a movie there. How I waited so long to watch "Casino Royale" and finally I get to watch it with William and Kelvin. As for Ming Keat,he rather watch the show "Deja Vu" as he had already watch Casino Royale.
It was near midnight when the show ended.Unlike Singapore, the whole town is so peaceful and quiet.Walking along the streets may be dangerous for any one of us right now...Aiyoh,don't worry,it safe travelling in Malacca.
To be continued...
