Politically Correct in a Crazy World

The Christmas doesn't end on Saturday.

In fact,I had a Christmas Eve dinner with Ming Keat,Kelvin Lee and William at Manhattan Fish Market in Clarke Quay.I didn't know there a fish restaurant in Clarke Quay.

Because Ming Keat had already booked the place,we had no problem getting a table there.They were having some Christmas promotion dinner when we came here,so there's limited choice for us.


We had a tomato clam chower soup for a start.I don't really like tomato base soup,somemore it's a combination of tomato and clam chowder,which makes it a odd pair.The soup is quite okay,I actually prefered normal clam chowder.Luckily they don't serve minestrone.




Because the crayfish that I ordered has sold out,I have to share a seafood platter for 2 with Kelvin.Anyway,the amount of food here really worth it.


For desserts,we have fried brownies.I looooooove brownies,so I managed to finish it before everybody does.It's kinda addictive,but it's fattening.


A simple gift from Ming Keat.It contains $10 Kinokuniya voucher!Maybe one day I'll check if that bookshop sells novel by Terry Pratchett.





We watched the show "I am Legend".Sad to say,I really cannot appreciated the show like Ming Keat and Kelvin do.The plot was slow and steady in the beginning,however when comes to the ending part,it ended with a "bang,crash,boom and what?That's all?".



The only twisting part which I find it amusing will be the infected(call it zombie).When all the zombie are trying to destroy the shockproof glass by banging it,the leader of the zombie came and push all the zombies away.I was thinking,"hmm...maybe that zombie is understands what Will Smith meant by he got a cure for them.Interesting."

Instead the leader went to bang the glass himself.What the heck?Is the leader a masochist?

The emotion that Smith made was good,especially when the dog died,the pain was there.

Don't bother about the graphic too much,it's not really well done.I give the movie 6 out of 10.

Being the last Man on earth is something which you can make your mind go crazy.Imagine yourself having to overcome loneliness by setting up some mannequin and "talk" with them.The feeling doesn't seems to be right.

The next day:

There's not much photos that I could take.It's almost the same as what we did last Saturday.

Trying not to make christmas day boring,we actually took some photos at Vivocity.

Me:(Pick up the phone)Hello?

Female Voice: Hello,may I speak to Wei Ling?

Me: Yes,I am.(Why people like to call me Wei Ling?It's Wei Liang!Arrggg!!!!)

Female Voice: Remember you have an interview today?Are you coming?

Me: Yes,I'm coming.

Female Voice: I would like to change the appointment to after Christmas,26th December is it okay for you?

Me: 26th December?Yeah,sure.

Female: Thank you.I'll email the detail later on.

Me: Okay,thanks.(hang phone)

And this is it,no interview for today.Who on earth will put an interview on the Christmas Eve?I mean,it's a time when the company celebrate,so I don't think it's a time for that.

Anyway,since today is Christmas Eve,I'll now spend my time posting photos before going off for dinner with the rest.

We must thank the costume team for their hard effort in making those costume,especially the rooster suit.Without them,the animals will be very plain to the audiences.

See how makeup makes a big differences for each one of us?



The performance turns out well.There's not much of hiccups here and there and the most classic scene will be the little sheep running the whole stage at the end of the play.The camera was flashing non stop when she did that.

The next performance will be on Christmas day itself.Pray that we'll put up our best performance for God.

6 more days to Christmas and I'm yet to buy my Christmas stuff!I was thinking of DIY,but I don't know what to do.Think I decided to buy...

Oh sorry,it's supposed to be a secret.

It has been raining for the past 6 days and I was bored at home playing with Pokemon Diamond,Warioware touch and DOTA.If anyone of you may wonder why a young adult like me play pokemon?I'll have to reply: Which sterotype law says that guys cannot play pokemon?

Okay,it makes me kinda childish,but...it's addictive leh!I didn't know DS may be so fun.Can't wait to discuss with my brother to share money buy Wii.Now that makes me a materialistic person.

Okay,now not only am I'm bored,I'm boring.If that's the case,I'll have to start of with interesting post tomorrow.Oh wait,Hari Raya tomorrow?

Well,it's not really in Holland actually.People tend to always say Holland Village in short cut form as in without the village part.Aiyah,if you're in Singapore,you have to get used to this.

Anyway,we had a HGC Christmas dinner at Holland Village.I know it's kinda early,it's for our own good actually,so that we can go for early shopping!*horror songs played inside husband/boyfriend's brain*

Little did I know there is a cafe inside the Holland Village building(the building with the Cold Storage).It's located at 4th level,so you have to take a lift up there.

Everybody were enjoying themselves with food and chit chatting and not to forget,Belinda and Chee Moon's testimony!


Seafood Risotto.When I first looked at the food,I was like: Is that mui fan?Somemore the display is kinda...kinda...I don't know how to describe it.

The rice tasted different from the normal rice that we eat.It's kinda hard and bouncy.The prawns are fresh,which I really like.



I ordered tiramisu for my dessert.The reason why I took this angle is because I ate some portion of it.



another 8 more days to Christmas.I haven't get my presents prepared!Oh shocks!

My third impulse,perhaps the last online shopping of t-shirt for this year.Did I mention that I like chemistry? =D

I wanted to buy my fourth t-shirt online,but it happens that it can't be shipped to Singapore(which previously was available).So I send my feedback to them and by the time they managed to put the country back to the list,the deadline has gone.Oh well...

Let's hope next year I got myself a stable job so that I can go for more online shopping!(*gasp*)

Last Sunday we witnessed Thomas Wedding in church.

It was quite a grand one,considering that the bride is from Charis and the groom is from our side.I was kinda late for the service,so I have to see right at the back.Anyway sitting at the back is not a bad thing as you can get to see the bride's entry.I find myself getting some cheap thrill here.

Thomas was quite nervous during the matrimony.Despite of what pastor say about him unable to "memorize" the pledge fully,he managed to say it without any mistake.Well done!


The wedding is not really over on Sunday.In fact,we had another wedding dinner last Monday(3 days ago) near the Clark Quay.

The ambiance over there was nice,the food was nice,the ceremony was nice.However I did not really like the shark fin soup.It's merely soup with lots of starch!

The poor bridegroom did got sabo-ed by his bunch of friends.Yah,even Zhi Xiong,who was going to get married next year sabo-ed him as well.Hor hor,Zhi Xiong,you're gonna get payback from Thomas.

I did took some photos on the food,but I find it too embarrassing to put it in.Ehhh...I should have respect the wedding by not taking too much photos.They were like looking at me when the flash came in.

Now that we have settled Thomas' wedding,we'll have 2 more(or maybe 3,4 or 5!)to go.HaiZ...

If I were to have a English name,I will call myself Cedric.

If I were to have a female name,I will call myself Dakota.

If I were to have a bimbo name,I will call myself Winterbelle.

If I were to have a gay name,I will call myself Clay.

If I were to name my son,I will call him Quincy/Darius.

If I were to name my daughter,I will call her Lorelei.

If I were to name a what-and-who-the-heck-come-out-with-this name,I will call my daughter Jerezebelle.

If I were to name my child using foreign language,I will call my son Yuri(Yo-re).

Crazy with names nowadays.It's funny how people may come out with funny names so that it's not so common like John James Jerry,Sally Sandy Susan.

Our Christmas decoration/masterpiece from Jurong/Clementi HGC.It's really hard effort I should say.They spent the whole morning and afternoon trying to get the color nicely done.I like the purple and red combination because it's MY idea.I very buay hiao bai hor?



Being a 宅男,I actually spent most of the time at home without going out.Yeah,this is what we call budget restriction.But then,I also need to spend time relaxing myself with a nice meal or something.That's why I went to the Taiwan tea cafe and order...



The vanilla freppe which I ordered from McCafe has a big lump of ice inside.Instead of drinking ice blended coffee,I actually drank coffee with ice.That's it,boycott McCafe!They should have name the drink "tip of an iceberg"

Sorry people that I have not been posting lately.I'm kinda stressed up this December because:

So I spend my time searching for jobs,channel surfing,Internet surfing,games,relaxation,feeling so uneasy blah blah blah...

What to do?I'm feeling so lost without a job.I spend all day staring at the ceiling making friends with shadows on my wall.

Looks like I'm becoming like a 宅男 spending time at home watching DVD,surfing net,locking myself inside my house.

Maybe because of that I'll become very ragged,with all those beards just like Elliot Yamin.



Hmm...will growing bread like this helps me to increase my handsome index by 1.2?I should try it out.

Anyway,if you got any job lobang,do tell me.I'll need to get myself occupied with job.
