I must have delayed my birthday photo for 11 days.Same goes to my Good Friday photos, which is 6 days ago.
Before I start my photo posts,I wanna complain about the bus service I encountered yesterday.
I went off for my work in a usual 8am,waiting for bus 198 which will take me to my workplace. This is the only bus that can take me there in a single trip.
When I saw the first 198 came,it was so full of people, somemore it's a bloody single decker bus.Nevermind,I'll wait for another bus, since I believed that during this super peak period, the bus will come at least every 5 minutes.
My assumption was wrong. It took 10 minutes for the second bus to arrive. It was another bus filled with people!
Then this 198 bus driver do a V sign with his right hand.It might mean 3 things:
1. He was telling us that there's another bus 198 which is coming soon.
2. He was telling the passenger that there's 2 more stops left to his/her destination.
3. He was doing a victory sign, telling himself that,"Yeah! Finally I got to pwn all these people deep deep!Losers!"
Of course which driver in the sick mind will be having the mentality of meaning number 3.It was all but my crazy imagination. For me,I believed in meaning number 1,because I am going to be late for work, and believe in number 2 is necessary!
In another 10 minutes later the 3rd bus 198 came, with all the angry passengers boarding it.
Is this what we called the world class transport?Stop making my toes laugh. The bus satisfaction survey must have been done by the "happy" customers isn't it?Thanks to you,I'm 20 minutes late for my work.Happy?Increase bus fare yet give us this kind of shitty service.Pui!
Okay end of complain.Let's proceed to photos.
Ding Tai Fung!I always wanted to try their dishes for quite some time.
Been realistic, they actually try to drain my wallet as best as they can.True friends are such a sucker, but it's good,as least they're not faking.Elvin told me he had reserve his stomach so that he can eat alot for dinner.
Yeah riiiiiight. You thought I don't know how much food your stomach can tahan?
Both the fried rice is so nice that we decided to order 1 more plate each.
The whole bill came out to be $120+,which to me it's a break pain.At least the bill has been offset by my IPPT incentive.
I really want to compliment on their service. All of their food are nice(well almost all)and they never go stingy on their food, especially the friend rice with prawn. You know how many prawns we had easily found inside the rice?
The waiter/waitress are very on-their-ball.They know their stuff very well. When they saw us busy eating the fried rice instead of the dao sha bao that was served, they asked us whether if we're going to eat it soon.If not,he'll be putting them back to the steamer and serve us later, not forgetting explaining some fact of eating the bao before it turns cold blah blah blah...Thumbs up!
The only not-so-good thing would be the limited choice of food.Actually they're not much varieties to choose from. However, even if there's alot of varieties to choose from,we would be having a hard time choosing it.
If there's a next time,I want to try out the drunken chicken. It's a pity that they sold out when we tried to order it.
For my birthday present,I got myself a pair of Levi's jeans!Thank everyone.I saw the price and it was slightly more than what we've eaten.Next time I'll treat you all play DoTA okay?
For this,I'll be mixing the actual day with some rehearsal photos.
The Good Friday service was fantastic. We actually invited Orchard Presbyterian Church Choir to join forces with our Tab voice. With OPCC joining us,it means more work has to be done.
We had to do away with the drum and the guitars, the amplifiers had to move from place to place, setting up choir microphones. It was all pure hard work!
That was in the actual day itself.Do you know how rugged they had made on Richard?Scar here scar there.
The service start off with some speeches from Pastor David, then the choir.Everything is under control. So far so good.
The play was superb! The originality was there and the whole thing simply touches me.I almost teared when the roman soldiers hanged Jesus on the cross, the pain and agony of the nails, the mocking of the crowd.Everything just seems so real.
I didn't managed to take some photos the whole play, mainly because I need to mend one of the PA systems and my camera is not those that can take bright photos in dark area.I had to post the rehearsal photos instead.
The death of Jesus ended with the red spotlight shine on Richard. So bloody,so tragic.
During the whole service,I made 2 bloopers:
1. When we were told to take the communion,we went off strange to the front before the pastor even said so.I can see the shock from Pastor Bee Tin face, but they had to act accordingly. When we were about to go back to our PA room, then they announced that we can go for our communion.
Opps!What will Pastor David say?
2. Before the play started, there was the choir singing.Being kan cheong,I actually set the sound mode to stadium mode when the choir sing, this results in sudden loudness and then soft again(I immediately turn the mode back).I think Pastor David was looking at me screwing up the whole show.Good thing Khim Fatt didn't scolded me for making this major mistake.
Double Opps!
The lighting of candles before the service going to end.It was so romantic, but my camera is unable to capture it better.
Off they go,busy we are.We had to put all the wires/amplifiers/microphone/drums/guitars back in their original place. It's another hard work once again!Yah lah,all the people zao like mad happy happy go for dinner and we PA crews are the one clearing up the mess!Grrr......
Anyway,I enjoyed the service very much,MINUS the clearing part.In fact, the dinner treat from pastor Chee Khim made up for the effort we made.
