It's day 4 in the Beijing Olympic Games and I was somehow glued to the television more than my DS lite.
Tao Li just did the nation proud, despite the fact that she didn't won any medal during the competition. It was really well done.If I were to compete against her,she will be touching the finish line before I can even finish my 50m mark.
Surprisingly, her command of English improved alot. From a person with a strong China accents, the interview was kind of teen-ish,but the idea was there.
However, the main point of this post is not everything about her,but it's about doing your part for Singapore.
2 days ago, when I was watching a hockey match between Japan and New Zealand(or Australia, can't remember),they were singing their national anthems.I spot a number or 2 trying to control their emotions while they were singing. They must be trying to control their tears.
It reminds me of Pastor Bee Tin who once shared about her contribution to the NDP and she was tearing when she sang the national anthem.
Seriously speaking, when you did your part for the nation, even the national anthem which you sang it almost everyday may becomes your song of emo.Not that I sound absurb, but it's true.
Given a chance if I were to contribute for the nation by taking part in the archery(I love archery),I will, perhaps, couldn't control my tears too.
