First of all, regarding my job,I was cleared of the reason why I was dismissed from my company.Man,am I so angry that they actually have so many hidden agenda in them. That is what I called a silent killer in the company.

Anyway,I was transfered to another department to work.I hope that this will be another fresh start for me.

Thank you Pastor Chee Khim for your advice and encouragement.Despite of your illness, you still spent your time have dinner with me.Yes,I agreed with you that I should look more on the bright side of life, instead of counting the number of curse I've been through during my birthday. It's true that blessing came when you're thinking of it.

Thank you everyone for the mini celebration in Pastor Kian Cheng's house.Yah,Clara, thanks for the cake,I like it very much, even though it was not cold.Thank you Pamela and Clara(again)for the encouragement when I'm feeling depressed. Both of you are my best sisters in HGC...okay that includes Yan Yi...okay Chee Moon too...okay all my sisters in HGC!Happy?

Thank you everyone for your SMS wishes.May the Lord bless your day ahead.

Sometimes having a non-physical gift from others is not a bad thing after all.

March 29, 2007

From today onward,I'm unofficial jobless because they told me that they don't need an officer right now.Is it true or is it something that tries to entertain me and makes me happy?I don't know.

The feeling is not so good when they told me this.I just don't like the feeling of been "not needed".If I was not needed then they shouldn't have employed me in the first place, damn it!

After hearing this bad news during the eve of my 24th birthday,I was given 2 choices:

1. Blaming God and be angry with Him for giving me such a shitty situation just when I got financial difficulties.

2. Just let it be.There's always opportunities for me to get another job.

Later I was told to go back to the company K,which is where I started from.

Hey wait,is that my 3rd choice?

For your information,I was recruited by company K to work in another company.I'm actually a staff of company K that was been employed to another place to work.the concept is more like an agency style, except that I got better benefits and entitlements.Yeah, not forgetting higher paid unlike most agency whose job is to suck money out other people's salary.

However is 3rd choice the way to another path? What if they just want me to sign the clearance form and scram?Okay,I shall not think too much.

Just pray for God wisdom to be upon me.I may not know about tomorrow, but I know God always has a plan for me.

Oh,happy cursed birthday eve to me.

March 25, 2007

Yesterday I went for my IPPT before my window closed on 29th March.I got the feeling I'm gonna fail this test because I didn't train much. The last time I took this test was 1 month ago, where I failed miserably(Chin-up and 2.4km).

The test was held in Maju Camp, which is much nearly to my house compared to Bedok Camp.I did not sleep well the night before the IPPT.I was so worried that I'll fail and I don't like the feeling of been a failure. No matter what,I must pass this test.

When I reached the camp, the test has already started.I was kinda late when I found myself to be a second group to take the test.

Every station that we took is electronics, which makes shutter run bloody easy and chin up bloody hard. Why hard? You won't be able to do a half bend pull using the new improved chin up bar.Say goodbye to the half f**k chin-up.Hahahahaha!!!

I went through every static station with ease, except for chin-up,which is my killer station.I did 2 chin-ups last time,so how many can I do this time?

5 chin-ups in the end. What a waste. No,I don't want to fail just like this.I shall do it again.

6 chin-ups on my second attempt.I was not satisfied with it because it was not a beautiful pass. The last one was a jerk and the PTI(physical training instructor)just give it to me.Anyway,I cannot afford to disappoint his wonderful grace by failing 2.4km.I got to run as if the kingdom comes!

The sun was so strong when we take 2.4km.So strong, you can simply grill a chicken chop on the road. Thanks to the hot weather,I can't really run very well,oh what an excuse I had.

When I finished my 2.4km,the timing was 12:33.My world collapsed as if it was my end of day.In order for me to pass,I need 12:20.It's a 13 second difference damn it!

My mind was making fun of me,"Wei Liang, you are going to die.You are going for your RT(Remedial training)preeeeetty soon.See lah,eat some more oily junk food lah.Hahahahaha!!!!!"

I had not touched KFC for quite some time, for your info.Okay,I ate chicken cutlet last Friday and it was filling for only $3.50.Hey,what the heck.

I went to take my result slip with a depressed heart.I don't dare to see that piece of paper right now.My brain was planning for the RT schedule right now.

Result slip printed out.To my amaze,I saw:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Oh yeah!!!!!!

Was it because the route we ran was more than 2.4km,or was it because of the electronic glitch? But I managed to get an incentive pass with a $100!

Okay,I admit I'd pass in a not so beautiful way.Next time I'll aim for a silver award and I'll get myself to train hard for it.I'll do my 8(or more)chin-ups swee swee and I'll run to the finish line with the electronic board showing 11:40.Mark my words for it.

March 23, 2007

Admission period started yesterday, which makes our department to go on a 8 days of hellish suffering.

Actually it's not really that bad compared to what they described last year. They said that the queue may go until like 50-100m under the hot sun! This may create angry parents I supposed.

This year, however is much more different. At least the queue is much more organised and to make things good, registration is done under the cooling air-cons.

I'm the crowd controller for this admission exercise, which is rather a relaxing job for me.What makes my job difficult will be the disoriented people who don't know where to start. Most of them don't even know they had to go through each station one by one(station 1,then 2,so on and so forth)and some skipped through one station because they thought it was rather "pointless".

Singaporean hate queuing for things that does not grant them free gift,it's a known fact.According to my colleague, the parents will fasten up the process by splitting themselves into 3 groups:Each of them holding on to the queue so that when one finished station 1,they will not go all the way at the end wasting their time queuing up.

I'll call this idea a "bookmark technique".Truly, this kind of people never fails to amaze me.

Lastly, things which I think can be changed:

1. Communication

Make sure the officer know what they're doing, instead of just trying to bring the parents to one big circle around the campus doing nothing.

2. Seats

Set up a dedicated place for the elderly and parents with baby to sit down. When the chairs were placed along station 1,some of them thought that the queue started from where they sit.

3.Signages

The arrow signs are all over the place to make confused parents worse.Solution?Remove all unwanted arrows and make a bigger signboard.

After 2 days of admission exercise,we still have 6 more days to go.All the way to my birthday(30/03/2007)!

March 20, 2007

Last Saturday's sermon by Reverend Fred was fantastic. It's not those type of sermon where the pastor will preach something that makes you feel better at the end of the day.Rather.it was a sermon regarding the signs of the end of age.

He was a speaker with deliverance, despite being in his 70s.He was so full of energy when he's sharing his sermon to the people.I(or rather,we)had a hard time trying to adjust to his voice because his voice may sound abit squeaky and periodically loud.

The sermon did scares us alot. How many of us really prepare ourselves for the coming day?50%?40%?Or maybe even less?It was a question of faith once again whether we ourselves deserve a place up there.

I really learn something out of Matthew and Revelations that he shared.I'll be coming for his second part of his sermon this Saturday. For those who are interested,do come and listen to his sermon.

March 18, 2007

Still no news of the group photo that we took in Dan Ryan. That does it,I shall just proceed with the post.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Last Saturday,we went to Dan Ryan for Glenn's birthday celebration. This is not the first time we went here for our meal. The last time we went there was like 5 years ago, which was during our second year in polytechnic.

I don't really fancy their food very much last time, but after 5 years of my life,I miss their food so much.Hah.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The place still remain how it was,not much changes in the ambience.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Raymond told us that our sitting location is just the same as last time.I don't really remembered where we sat last time, looks like Raymond has a better memory than me.Am I getting senile?!

We ordered our usual starter, the bread basket. The bread is home baked and it goes well with the maple syrup.Oh,I forgot to take a photo of the bread basket.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This is a must-try in Dan Ryan:clam chowder.Mind you, this is not the typical clam chowder that you brought in the supermarket near you.You got to taste it and you feel the difference.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This is an appetiser that we ordered. The buffalo wings and chicken strips are good, but not the potato skin.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Ice lemon tea.The taste of the tea depends on how much sugar syrup you put. Please do not drink this without it unless you like it bitter.

Now came our main course:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Fish and chip.Seriously, the fish is getting smaller. The last time when we ate this,it was almost the size if the plate.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Nice spaghetti with meatball.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Soft shell crab.I regretted ordering this instead of the grill salmon/fish and chip.Firstly,I don't like the vegetable.Secondly, the soft shell crab is not crunchy.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Elvin and Raymond slurping away.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
We told the waitress that it was Glenn's birthday today(We didn't lie,10th March IS his birthday)and they gave us a molten cake.I like the chocolate fudge inside the cake.It was warm and sweet, not to mention it's sinful.

And finally,we present Glenn with his birthday present:Crumpler bag!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Posing with the bag.Glenn, can give ermmm....strip?I mean the plastic covering, not your shirt.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
That's better.I know Glenn like color very much,because I like this(brown and orange)combination too.

After the meal,we went for a show, which I mentioned 3 post ago.We also played a game of DoTA,with my improved skill of the drow ranger.Okay lah,I was not that good.I believe anyone of you can pwned me easily.Next time I'll try using Enigma,Butcher and Necro'lic.

We also played a game of counterstrike. The interface changed so much since we last played.I seems to forget most of the key and the only weapon I love is the desert eagle(more expensive than last time).

Okay now my hands are itchy for another game of DoTA.

Well, without the group photo taken in Dan Ryan,I still have a group photo that I took at Selegie.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
It's blurred,but better than nothing.

March 16, 2007

3 months has passed and I have yet to learn my guitar!Seems like I have only 9 months to learn my guitar.

Sad to say,I don't have a guitar at home.I can't possibly lend it from my church friend ,for I know they are using it everyday.

Another thing is that no one is here to teach me guitar.Oh,maybe I didn't ask,for God says:Ask and you shall received.Ok God,I've learned my lesson.

So is this New Year resolution going to be a failure?!

March 14, 2007

After 2 years and 5 months of wonderful time with me,I know the relationship is going to end soon.

It was such a great thing knowing you.I want to thank you for all the hard work you'd put for me.You shared your laughter with me,cheered me up when I'm down and even played with me when I'm bored.

As time goes by,I realised that your health is getting poor.I know it's going to be serious just by looking at your body;your moving is getting more and more lethargic and you hardly recognised me.

By looking at your condition,I predicted you have about 3-4 months to live.I can't bear to lose you.All the wonderful memory that you and I shared,I just refused to let go.

After a few days of sleepless night,I had decided to let it go.I know it's kinda cruel, but it was meant for your good.Do you know how much tears I'd cried for the past few nights just because of you?

Goodbye my 80Gb Hard disk.

Yours Truly,

Wei Liang

March 12, 2007

Put 300?Nah,it's just so common.

300 Spartans?Again a common subject.

Aiyah, just go on with this title lah!It sounds deliberate enough.

Went to celebrate Glenn's birthday last Saturday(I will post about his birthday next time once I got the group photo),watched this show 300 which in my personal point of view regard this show as a kinky violent show. Why kinky?Imagine 300 guys wearing Renoma/Bum Equipment/State other underwear brand going to fight a battle.

Okay, kinky aside. This movie is based on a comic book(which is based on a true history) which talks about the Greeks, unhappy with the Persians' way of treating them as a slave, began to fight a battle of freedom,a battle in which they will never win.

The whole movie just showed us how they fight with legions on Persians enemies, their bravery, their passion, their fanaticism.Basically as what Elvin says,it's Braveheart meets Lord of the Rings.

The show has alot of those funny looking weirdos, especially a fat guy with a execution hands that cause laughter to the audience.God knows why we're laughing.

The plot was quite well-planned,except that there's some scenes which may cause lots of confusions in me.Because this is a violent movie, scene like the Persian king putting his hands on King Neonidas' Shoulder just makes abit of brokeback.

I'll give this show 7.5/10,for perople who likes bloody beheading ,"inspirational" and (optional) booby scenes.

March 06, 2007

Other than Archery and Kendo that I love so much, there's dragon boat.

At first it may not be an appealing sport when I first join Singapore Polytechnic, maybe it's due to the fact that this CCA is located in a oh not so obvious place in a oh so big building.Anyway, most of the time I don't even bother to visit this place, unless when we wanted to play badminton or table tennis.

After looking at the built of the dragon people,I began to feel so envious.Their buff and chiseled tan body, those sunshine look and the sporty behavior.Wah,so eye catching.

But after looking at their requirement,I don't think I may be able to join. You must be able to trap water for a certain period of time, which I'm still struggling with it.Or maybe you need to run a gold timing in your 2.4km and do a minimum of 12 pull-ups.

Okay, maybe I'll just stick to my archery okay.If I were to join Kendo,I'm just make myself the main subject of target.

Recently my school organised a dragon boat activity for all the stuff. It's held on the 15th of March, which happens to be on Thursday.

.........

Lim peh boh si gan lah!For this week onwards still got to do this do that.It just work the hell out of me.Bah!!!!!!

March 04, 2007

I sat down on a chair hoping that I could type something out(Army, fantasy, dream, just whatever thing that I could think of).

Suddenly I can't think of what to write. Is it because I've lost touch of sentence structure?

Like when I ask a person how often do you buy your clothings,I will phrase it like this:

"XXX,how long do you buy your clothes per month?"

Oh crap, this is an ultimate combo of poor sentence structure.

Or maybe how I tell others of my opinions:

"Maybe we should be going also to this place in Takashimaya."

Worst still an unenglish english:

"Maybe go also place to Takashimaya we should going be in."

No,I'm not teaching Japanese.

Finally,I managed to post up my visitation to the zoo,and that was almost 3 weeks ago.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Will I get to see Inuka san today?

The entrance fee is free, thanks to my corporate pass that I'd book.If not,I had to pay $15 for it.Sorry, the corporate pass does not include Night Safari.

The place has changed alot since last visit, which was like during my primary school(or maybe secondary school)days.Oh man, that was like 10-12 years ago!At that time there's even A&W which we'd make it a point to go there for curly fries and root beer. Those were the days...

Okay,let's proceed with some photos:

Clockwise from left: Chinese or long-tailed goral, seal, camel and pygmy hippo.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Oh,check out the teeth of the hippo.

White tiger is one of my favorite in the zoo.I simply love white animals(Arctic wolf, snow rabbit, harp seal, polar bear, etc).

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Suggestive position by the beh hor.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This fish is so big,it can actually feed me for a day. *drool*

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Small fish can't be eaten.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Lazy wild boar doing suntanning.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Interactive kangaroo. The kids were shouting non-stop to their parents when they saw the little thing jumping near them.So cute!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Oh so adorable jumping animal.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The kangaroos' resting area. Most of them were like posing in some seductive position.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Another food spotted: Ostrich meat!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Lama resting.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Can I take a ride on you?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Maned wolf in a den.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
What is the wolf doing?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Oh,he was hunting for food: White rat!

He was going round and round their boundary and the ang-mo trying hard to take a photo of it.It's very hard to get a photo of this wild beast.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Penguin going for a dive.

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting
After a swim, they went up for the fellowship of the "guins".

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Didn't know they're called Jackass.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Indoor penguin. One of the penguins even pooped on the glass panel!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Playful orang utan on the net.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
It's feeding time!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I'm thirsty! *Gulp gulp*

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
*smooch!*

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
*blush*

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
There's also a photo-taking session with the monkeys,which is about $8(can't remember)for a few sets of photos.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
A machine operated branch.Cool!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Let's take a slope up to see the baboons.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
It was a rather steep slope, but it won't makes you pant.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Mysterious creature in the cage. What was that?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Big turtle trying to take a walk.I've seen bigger ones, which I'll post it later.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is not hua guo shan, the baboons will not talk to you.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Check out their ass.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The elephants are forever so photo friendly.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Pelican brief.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Yes!I'm coming!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I was so lucky to see Inuka going for a swim. The polar bear is not really snowy white but a little patch of green, which is due to the amoeba.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Mr Inuka swimming around.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Doing a back kick.

The polar bear wouldn't be around for long.Once the mother bear(Sheba)died,Inuka had to be moved to a much more colder place.Frankly speaking,Singapore is too hot for the polar bear.

The polar bear is so close to extinction because of their fur and global warming. So do save the environment!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Sheba resting in the shade. She looks so fine!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
While Inuka resting beside the rock.I want to touch his fur!

Okay, end of the polar bear show.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Planet of the apes. The left one looks like it's stoning.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
One wrong move and you're their food.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Leopard cat looking so bored.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Look how it glares at me.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The food for the leopard cat.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is the bigger one that I've mentioned earlier.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Looks like the giraffe failed its camouflaging test.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Going for some european style?

Walking down to the kids farm brings me back another memory. That was where we take the train ride, but it's long gone.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Gentle horse drinking its water.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The billy goats are the super friendly creature in the farm.Don't believe me?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Coming near...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Boo!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The moo moo with no milk.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Hairy and bunny eat carrots.

There's a place where we can enter in to get close and intimate with the animals, which makes a plus point to the zoo.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Going in to the place,I saw a blue butterfly flying so fast that I'm unable to capture it well.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Bluish looking bird.Check out its Mohawk hairstyle.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Little duckling waiting to grow up.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Is that a stingray?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
There's a butterfly landing onto my hand.It is trying to suck out some nectars on my hand but failed.Maybe is it because of coke stain on my hand?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Safely,I took it to their resting point and snap it.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The white one looks even prettier.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Cute and shy little creature which I managed to touch its fur.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Another of the same breed with another color.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The bat is spreading its wings for me.

What?We have bugs in the zoo too?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Disgusting green thing.EEKKK!!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Looks like the mating season has just begun!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Another breed of xiao qian. *scream*

If you think that visiting the zoo is all about seeing the animals alone, you're wrong. You'll also learn something about them.

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Some attractive signs that I've encountered.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
How I wish I can jump that far, then I'll have no problem with my standing board jump.

Wait a minute,I can jump 234cm in my SBJ,which is a gold distant.

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Something to learn from the komodo dragon.

There are so many photos to post and if I were to post it all,I'll bore the hell of you all.So it's better to just take a visit to the zoo yourself.
